In the summer of 2023, all Explorer Units in Worthing will be having a joint summer camp with an expedition to Kandersteg Internation Scout Centre in the Swiss Alps.
This is at a World Scout Centre described as a permanent mini-jamboree, and we aim to offer this to all members who will Explorers in August 2023.
We have held an information evening that allowed members and their parents/carers to find out more about this wonderful opportunity and to share in a bit of the magic that is Kandersteg.
Our current ideas for things in the programme include:
- Two day hike in the mountains, including an overnight in a mountain hut
- White Water Rafting
- Swiss Valley Hike
- Funicular Railway up Niesen Mountain and exploring Thun
- Trotti Bikes in Adelboden
- Rodelbahn at Oeschinensee
